Speaker’s Topic:
The training and development programs at Horse Play bring the interactive benefits of working with horses to create a superior learning experience.  Inviting the participants to "join the herd" and experience their thoughts, emotions and actions in relation to the unbiased and honest feedback provided by the horses introduces a whole new dimension to traditional team building.   We will provide an experiential demonstration of our team building services with EPWA members actively participating in activities with the horses in an enclosed arena.  If possible, members should dress comfortably (jeans are good) and wear closed toe shoes and dress in layers.   Active participation is not mandatory but when we hold demonstrations, most want to try it out.

Speaker’s Biography:
Kristine Proctor, LMSW

Kristine is a Level II EAGALA certified co-founder of Horse Play, a licensed social worker, and a member of the Association for Experiential Education. Kristine's experience includes over fourteen years assisting educational institutions and non-profit businesses in transition through program development, strategic planning, and board restructuring. Her career includes serving as a child development specialist and school social worker, working as Executive Director of a provisional services agency, and teaching social work curriculum at the university level. Kristine is also a life-long equestrian from a family of Quarter Horse breeders and cattle ranchers. Being with horses and playing in nature with her three children continually teaches her the value of being authentic and living in the present.

Anne Carpenter, PhD.
Anne is a Level II EAGALA certified co-founder of Horse Play, a licensed psychologist, and a member of the Association for Experiential Education. As an entrepreneur who successfully developed psychology practices in Chicago and Phoenix, Anne and her husband returned to her hometown in Southwestern Michigan to raise their young children near family. Anne recalls a childhood spent playing in the woods and at the lake and wanting to provide the same for her young children. After working in an office environment for 15 years, she is following her children's lead and taking her career "back to nature," bringing her passion for the environment and having fun. Anne is excited to develop yet another business venture utilizing her skills as a psychologist to facilitate change in her clients and translate that to the corporate world and the community.
