Avoiding the Holiday Waist Land:  It begins with Thanksgiving, ends with Happy New Year!  It is the season of joy and stress, tempting foods, and a culture that encourages overeating and indulgence during the holiday season. Learn tips and ideas in handling the holidays with better energy, and meet the challenge of avoiding the average weight gain of 7 to 10 pounds.

Speaker Biography

Mary Cooper has been the franchise owner/counselor of St. Joe Diet Center for 34 years.  Being a Diet Center owner enables her to fulfill her passion for making a difference in people’s health and lives. She customizes weight loss programs for women and men that go beyond weight loss.  The reward is more about preventing our client’s health problems and improving their eating habits.  It’s also about seeing improved cholesterol levels, lower blood sugar, lower blood pressure or the ability to easily tie the walking shoes.  Mary understands how difficult it is to lose even 5 pounds on your own….since having food issues early in her life and years before Diet Center of yo-yo dieting.  For Mary, this profession is the most rewarding step she has ever taken.

Mary is a past 1988/89 president for EPWA. She looks forward to sharing information from her personal and professional experience to fellow EPWA members and guests.  She is a proud mother of 2 grown sons and lovely daughter in laws…and 3 grandchildren.  Her personal goal is to stay mobile and active to keep up with the little ones!
