Speaker Topic

Over 40% of us provide some level of care for an aging loved one.  That number will increase sharply in the next 10 years as the baby boomer population progresses into retirement. As we age the number of physicians, prescriptions, and level of care needed increases making it difficult to manage.  PACE is a unique program of all-inclusive care that offers elderly adults and their caregivers an alternative to nursing home placement.  We work with the entire family to coordinate medical care, support at home, and focus on prevention.

Speaker Biography

Peggy holds a Master's degree in Criminal Justice Administration.  After several years of working for the Berrien County Trial Court, Sheriff's Department, and Prisoner Reentry Program she transitioned to the United Way to bring the Girls On The Run program to Berrien County.  She now works for PACE of Southwest Michigan as their Community Relations Representative.  For stress relief she enjoys running and playing indoors and beach volleyball.  She is married and has two beautiful young girls ages 4 and 3.

We are also doing a Food Pantry Drive.  Please bring non-perishable food to the January, February, and March meetings.  Click this link for more information:  EPWA Food Pantry Drive
