Pets Enhancing Your Life

Jill Svoboda, Director Humane Society of SW Michigan
Victoria Williams, part owner Mutterly Love St. Joseph, MI

Speaker’s Topic:
Our evening will include discussions on how volunteering with animals benefits you, the animal, and the community.  Learn about the many opportunities available to volunteer with animals, and see another new business in Michigan’s great southwest.  Volunteering truly will become a “way of life” for you, too.

Speaker’s Biography:
Jill Svoboda recognized her niche for management while working her way through Western Michigan University, graduating with a BS in Education.  After graduation, she taught school at Benton Harbor Public Schools and Benton Harbor Charter School.  In 2008, she became director of the SW Michigan Humane Society.  Her accomplishments include re-establishing the non-profit from nearly closing its doors, to a structure debt-free, and successful animal rescue and adoption organization.

Victoria Marie (Grerencser) Williams was born in Benton Harbor, MI and spent her childhood on a fruit farm in Millburg, MI.  Victoria always knew her life was going to involve animals.  At the age of 7, she knew she was going to be a dog trainer, but took several detours to finally arrive at her goal.  Victoria’s accomplishments include an honorable discharge from the US Air Force, and sole owner of “Twin Cities Animal Grooming,” which she started in 1978.  In 2009, she left the business to open her life long dream Mutterly Love with her new partner, Rhonda Hummel.
