Speaker’s Topic:
Health care is of the most discussed issues today.  Health care costs have influenced many changes in our lives and businesses.  Edie Daugherty and Marydawn Taggart will present information on how an individual’s health affects attendance, performance, attitude, physical appearance, emotional well-being, confidence, and energy. This creative presentation will be fun and will show us how small changes bring big results.

Speakers Biographys:
Edie Daugherty has been Director of Fitness with South Shore Health & Racquet Club for 15 years.  She has a degree in Exercise Science with Minor in Community Health from Western Michigan University.  Edie is Certified Personal Trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Certified Spinning Instructor and Silver Sneaker Instructor.  She is also coach at Lakeshore Public Schools, owner of Point Blank Indoor Shooting Range and an owner member of the ABA Semi-pro Lake Michigan Admirals Basketball team.

Marydawn Taggart has been a fitness professional for almost 15 years.  Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Administration, she also obtained her AFAA Certified Personal Training Certification in 1995. Marydawn has developed group training that not only provides the individualized instruction usually associated with personal training, but also leverages the camaraderie of a team to encourage both group and personal success in meeting fitness goals.  Consistently looking for better ways to engage clients on their fitness journeys, Marydawn became a certified Johnny G Spinning Instructor in 2003.    Using group indoor cycling as a basis, she developed a complete fitness facility at Chatmoss Country Club in Martinsville, Virginia.  This included a cardio lab, a spinning lab, and a weight room.  The expansion required fund raising to pay for the building addition as well as additional fitness equipment.
